# Chat with any PDF

By the SelGPT team. Updated October 1, 2026. Source: https://selgpt.app/chat-with-pdf

Upload a PDF, Word document or image and ask about it in plain words. SelGPT summarises it, answers questions from it and pulls out what you need.

> To chat with a PDF in SelGPT, upload the file in a conversation and ask your question. It can summarise the document, answer questions from it, compare it with another file and pull out key points, figures and dates. The Free plan allows three uploads a day; Plus allows 50.

## What you can ask

- “Summarise this report in five bullet points.”
- “What does this contract say about cancellation?”
- “List every date and deadline in this document.”
- “Compare these two proposals and tell me the differences.”

## How it works

1. Open a chat and attach your file.
2. Ask a question, or ask for a summary.
3. Keep asking follow-ups; the file stays in the conversation.
